The Traddies is an outdoor performance that blurs the lines between Traditional and Contemporary dance and music. They are folk figures of the Gaels – the indigenous people of Ireland and Scotland, whose Gaelic culture clings to the north-western edge of Europe.
A loud pop-up work with straw costumes, stomping feet and some shiny disco clothes, The Traddies answer three very important questions:
What happens when straw meets glitter?
What happens when folk crashes into discothèque?
What the folk is going on?
